Enhancing community through people, parks and programs.

Since John A. Latsch donated nearly 2,200 acres to the City of Winona, which include Aghaming Park, Latsch Island, Prairie Island, and Gabrych Park to name a few, the City has embraced his spirit and love for the outdoor environment.

Winona is known for leading recreation trends within the state of Minnesota. Winona built the first outdoor zero depth entry aquatic center and are one of two communities to have an outdoor ice climbing attraction, and the Friendship Center is the only nationally accredited senior center in the state.
