Beginning in June and running through September at the Minnesota Marine Art Museum is Mississippi Sippin’. Join us the first and third Tuesdays this summer on our beautiful riverwalk to enjoy friends while soaking in the scenery. Wine or beer and select food items will be available to purchase. This event is weather dependent.
The Shakespeare Quilts will be on display in the Minnesota Marine Art Museum’s Oberton Education Room from June 22-July 31. The Great River Shakespeare Festival, a nonprofit, professional Equity theater company has made Winona its home since 2004. The first art quilt was designed and created in 2011 by The Friends of Will, volunteers who work to support GRSF. Each quilt is displayed in the GRSF Theater Lobby during the season and feature fabric used in costumes and vary in theme and style. Designs for some were inspired by season artwork created by area artists.
