Spring Art Exhibit 2021: Jamie Harper

May 1 - June 30

Local painter, Jamie Harper, is exhibiting a collection of his recent paintings. The paintings are created by using repurposed materials and are all done with recycled latex house paint on salvaged hollow-core doors. The hours for the exhibit are Wednesday through Sunday, 4:00 p.m. -11:00 p.m. at Ed’s No-Name Bar, 252 E. 3rd Street.

MMAM: Memories of Titanic

May 1 - July 6
Minnesota Marine Art Museum, 800 Riverview Drive, Winona, Minnesota 55987

Explore art and objects associated with the loss and shipwreck of RMS Titanic. On view will be a young survivor’s riveting first-hand account of the disaster, including the loss of her father, in her diary and personal letters. Also included are paintings by American artist Colin Campbell Cooper from when he was aboard the rescue ship Carpathia, and a ship model, original telegrams, and more.

Making History: River Arts Alliance Member Exhibit and Showcase

May 1 - July 17

Making History  will feature selections from the River Arts Alliance online member show going on now at riverartsalliance.org. The exhibit showcases Winona County’s cultural heritage through local art. The Winona County History Center is open Monday – Saturday, 10 a.m. – 4 p.m.

MMAM Exhibit: 20th Century British Master Marine Artists

May 1 - June 13

On display are paintings of historic and contemporary marine scenes by several of the best British marine artists of the 20th century. See works from the MMAM collection by Roy Cross, Montague Dawson, Louis Dodd, Henry Scott, and William Bishop, exploring a variety of subjects such as seascapes, ship portraits, naval battles, whaling vessels, and river steamboats

Water: Shots Magazine Group Exhibition

May 1 - September 5

This exhibition at the Minnesota Marine Art Museum features works by 39 national and international photographers exploring the theme of water. Their images were selected by jury for the summer 2019 issue of Shots, The Quarterly Journal of Black & White Photography. The artists’ photographs have a wide range of styles ranging from detailed to panoramic, realism to abstraction, and personal and intimate to accessible, in their responses to water.

River Arts Alliance Member Virtual Exhibit Showcase

May 1 - May 31

This virtual art exhibit includes audio and video clips, poems and excerpts as well as the usual visual artworks. Writers and artists producing music, dance, theatre, film and other performance art will be showcased along with visual artists. The exhibit is set up in the form of an online book.
