Managed by the Winona Park and Recreation Department, this indoor and outdoor skating facility is home to the Winona Area Youth Hockey Association and other area organizations such as the Winona Figure Skating Club.
The Bud King Ice Arena is a multi-million dollar renovation project that was created through a partnership between the City of Winona and the Winona Area Youth Hockey Association (WAYHA). Under a management agreement between the two organizations, the City is responsible for maintaining and operating the facility and WAYHA is responsible for programming. This public/private partnership has produced a new indoor ice refrigeration system and outdoor ice rink that overlooks the beautiful Mississippi River.
