The Winona Zen Practice Community is dedicated to the practice of Zen meditation and the teachings of Buddhism. We are affiliated with the Dharma Field Meditation and Learning Center in Minneapolis.
In Winona, we currently offer meditation practice periods throughout the week with to accommodate various schedules. We welcome everyone.

* Each practice period includes 25 minutes of sitting meditation (zazen), 10 minutes of walking meditation (kinhin), and 25 additional minutes of sitting meditation (zazen). However Tuesday's schedule is 30 minutes total and therefore is adapted to 20 minutes of sitting meditation (zazen) and 10 minutes of walking meditation (kinhin).
** Please plan to be in the meditation hall at least 5 minutes before the scheduled sitting time. (If you are new to this group, please contact Trish Johnson or Paul Stern for an orientation.)
During the winter months, we suggest dressing warmly for meditation.
