Wander the tree-lined path in Levee Park and picture the scene thousands of steamboats have encountered when docking in Winona.
Today the park sits in the shadow of the interstate bridge, and a sculpted stone wall keeps the river at bay, but it is still a prime spot to catch a bald eagle in action or dip your toes in the waters of the Mighty Mississippi.
Boat docking is allowed for 24 hours.
