150+ Years Flowing

The people of Central Lutheran Church have been faithful to the Gospel and a cornerstone of the Winona community since 1871. September 26, 2021 marked 150 years and reason to celebrate! 

In October 2019, Central celebrated the 65th anniversary of the current sanctuary dedication. This pictorial booklet offers a brief history.

Special “Visitor Parking” spaces are reserved in the main parking lot nearest the church entrance.

About Worship

What is your worship style like?

8:30 AM Traditional Service: Most people would characterize our worship style as Classical Lutheran. Our worship order is rooted in patterns from the Hebrew tradition and accounts of the earliest Christians: We gather in song & prayer. We hear God’s Word. We share bread & wine. We are sent into the world  More detailed worship information is here.

10:30 AM Modern Service: This service has a more casual feel. Music is led by piano and guitar and  consists of contemporary Christian music and acoustic arrangements of well-known hymns. The 10:30 service is also live-streamed on Central’s Facebook page.
