The imposing structure at 204 Main Street was designed by prominent architect George Maher of Chicago, who also designed the Watkins building in Winona. It is a favorite of visitors to Winona. The building, with its Egyptian Revival style and Prairie School influences, also serves as a museum, featuring its architecture, Italian marble, original steel vault, original furniture, and Tiffany stained glass windows. The building also displays the gun collection and African safari trophies of the bank’s original owners.
