Prairie Island Campground
Thank you for considering Prairie Island Campground as a destination for your camping and outdoor recreation experiences. 2020 was wrought with so much uncertainty, unrest, and overall disruption in our lives and communities. We hope you are all staying safe and well amidst these crazy times, there is light at the end of the tunnel. The closing of the campground for the 2020 season made it possible for us to complete many long overdue upgrades and renovations at the campground and we are excited to share them with you in 2021.
It is exciting and a relief to be moving forward with plans for the reopening of the newly renovated campground in the spring of 2021. There are many improvements that we are sure will make your camping experience with us even more memorable. Gravel pads in all riverfront short term electric and water sites, a new and improved beach and common picnic area, new boat launch, and the addition of a disc golf course as well 2 miles hiking trails within Prairie Island Park. We will have a second Tiny House available for rent for those who are looking for an easy, comfortable way to spend time close to nature. There are plans to bring back our Campfire Concert Series with an improved offering of regional food truck fare!
