Winona County History Center


Located in historic downtown Winona, the Winona County History Center is made up of the old Armory (1915) and the award-winning contemporary Laird Norton Addition (2010), and houses three floors of exhibits, The Museum Shop, multiple programming and event spaces, the Laird Lucas Library and Archives and more!

Explore our past in interesting and fun exhibits, both permanent and traveling. Also, attend the many programs and events offered. Find your roots or delve into historical research in the Laird Lucas Library and Archives which is open weekdays 10 a.m. – Noon & 1 p.m. – 5 p.m.

The Museum Shop

The gift shop offers a wide selection of books, Winona and Minnesota souvenirs, and clothing, old-time candies, vintage toys, games, reproduction decor and gifts, artwork and an excellent selection of many items made by local artists.


Weekdays 9 a.m.-5 p.m., Saturday 10 a.m.- 4 p.m. and Sunday 12 p.m.- 4 p.m.; Offices are Closed Weekends.
Admission: $5 Adults, $3 Students. Children 7 and younger and WCHS members free
