MMAM: Gregory Euclide: Observation Infiltration

Gregory Euclide creates unique paintings, sculptures, dioramas, and mixed media installation pieces exploring landscapes, water, and the collision of nature and mankind. He uses a variety of found objects, both natural and artificial, to explore humankind’s impact on the natural world. Euclide invites us to explore worlds where he blends real and imagined images, objects, and materials to evoke feelings of nostalgia, question the reality of the present moment, and provide a look toward the future

The Lay of the Land: Paintings by Hannah Heyer

Shutterbug: The Mid-Century Photography of David Tewes

This exhibition features the found photography of World World II veteran and Hutchinson, Minnesota native David Tewes. After Tewes’ death in 1991, his family discovered a large collection of his Kodachrome photographic slides taken between 1944 and 1955 of his native Minnesota and his travels across America. This is the first ever public exhibition of his personal snapshots.

Mai’a Williams: Last Prayer Before Sunrise

Joy Davis Ripley’s “Visible / Invisible: Landscapes of Mental Illness” is an exhibition that aims to dispel the stigma and shame surrounding mental illness. It consists of portraits and portions of interviews from Winonans who have been impacted by mental illness. The portraits are set in landscapes that accord with how the subjects experience their illness or their journey toward healing. With raw honesty, the interviews highlight the day-to-day lives circumscribed by mental illness. With this project, Davis Ripley hopes to initiate open-minded community…
