MN Marine Art Museum: The American Society of Marine Artists 18th National Exhibition

June 18 @ 8:00 am - October 3 @ 5:00 pm

This special two-gallery exhibition features a variety of art in different mediums from more than 100 of the best contemporary marine artists producing some of their finest work, drawing inspiration from their relationship with water. Artworks include paintings, watercolors, drawings, sculpture, scrimshaw, and mixed media. Founded in 1978, the American Society of Marine Artists is the nation’s oldest and largest non-profit organization dedicated to marine art and history.

Great River Shakespeare Festival

Great River Shakespeare Festival offers spectacular performances as well as a variety of free and educational events – all in the beautiful town of Winona. Performances include “The Tempest,” Taming of the Shrew,’ And “Great Expectations,” and “Every Brilliant Thing.” The 2021 season will take place outdoors at Levee Park.

Music and Movies: Wurk and Spiderman

Lake Park Drive In Music and Movies is a free, eight-part series of outdoor live concerts and film screenings at the Winona Bandshell. Bitten by a radioactive spider in the subway, Brooklyn teenager Miles Morales suddenly develops mysterious powers that transform him into the one and only Spider-Man. Every Brilliant Thing by Duncan Macmillan and Jonny Donahoe is a play about depression and the lengths we will go to for those we love, and stars GRSF company member Michael Fitzpatrick. This play will be performed on the “green” on the Winona State University campus, 175 W. Mark St.

MN Beethoven Festival: Pacifica Quartet

June 27 @ 3:00 pm

Pacifica Quartet has achieved international recognition as one of the finest chamber ensembles performing today. Named the quartet-in-residence at Indiana University’s Jacobs School of Music in March 2012, the Pacifica was previously the quartet-in-residence at the Metropolitan Museum of Art and has received multiple Grammy Awards for Best Chamber Music Performance. Their performance will be held at the Saint Mary’s University Page Theatre.
