Brewing up the Past: History of Winona’s Beer Industry

This exhibit at the Winona County History Center examines the Winona area’s rich brewing history dating all the way back to 1855. It features all of the breweries and celebrates the history and the accomplishments of local brewing masters. It tells the story of various companies that have contributed to the beer industry.

Eagle Viewing Field Trips

Anna Metcalfe: Upstream

Upstream features works by artist Anna Metcalfe that focus on her decade-long investigation of the waters of the Upper Midwest. With a background in clay, Metcalfe is interested in how social engagement is endemic to craft and how it can be a conduit for social and environmental change. Her work investigates relationship to landscape and water through community storytelling and personal narrative. Works will include ceramic installation and community-engaged projects that reflect the artist’s abiding connection with water.
