Parade of Trucks & Touch-A-Truck

May 18 @ 9:00 am - 12:00 pm

On Saturday, May 18 from 9 a.m. – noon, the Winona Main Street Program will host its annual Parade of Trucks – Touch a Truck event in downtown. This free, family friendly event in downtown allows kids to see the big vehicles up close in two ways. First, on the move as they drive past kids in the parade at 9 a.m. Then, the vehicles will be put into park on 3rd Street and open their doors until noon. Kids will have the opportunity to get a close, safe look at the outside of the vehicles or even sit inside. Included vehicles will be civil service (such as fire and police), semi-trucks, pickup trucks, and more!

“The Main Street program seeks to create a downtown where people want to be,” Jenna Lubinski, Director of Main Street Programs, said. “Hosting an event like this for the whole family to enjoy helps to create additional draws for the community to spend time in our downtown district. They come downtown for the event but stay downtown to grab a bite to eat at one of the many food options or they stop into the store that had the cool item in the window they can’t live without.”

This is event is made possible by main event sponsors Allstate Peterbilt, MBM Logistics/TLM Express, Rihm Kenworth – it’s because of these community-focused organizations that we’re able to have fun, free, family-friendly events for our region to enjoy.
