The Year We Thought About Love: Film Showings & Discussion
April 22 @ 5:00 pm

The Year We Thought About Love is a film featuring LGBTQ youth of color exploring love – within families, friendships, spiritually, and romantically. The film goes behind the scenes of the oldest queer youth theater in America. In a twist on the common image of LGBTQ youth as victims, the film reveals the troupe members as artists and activists, celebrating the joy and fullness of their lives in thoughtful and hilarious ways.
Watch the film on Thursday, April 22nd at 5 PM or Friday, April 23rd, the Day of Silence, at 2 PM. A lively discussion with the filmmaker and two of the youth will take place after Friday’s showing.
