Voices from the Past Cemetery Walk

Come hear about “Historic Places, Historic Faces” during the 2024 Voices from the Past Cemetery Walk, which will have one indoor evening performance and two days of strolling through one of Winona’s most beautiful fall settings! This favorite annual event hosted by the Winona County Historical Society lets attendees traverse through time with community actors portraying people of our past.
This year, we highlight people associated with local schools, churches, businesses, hotels, government buildings, organizations, the lumber & grain industries, and a special site about places gone but not forgotten.
For those who prefer itm there is an indoor accessible performance October 3 at the Winona County History Center from 6 to 8 p.m. Admission is taken at the front door when you arrive. Seats are first-come-first-served, so keep this in mind as you plan your evening!
Admission: $10 Adults, $5 Students, $3 Youth 4-7 years old
Saturday, October 5, and Sunday, October 6, hear about “Historic Places, Historic Faces” in beautiful Woodlawn Cemetery. Traverse historic Woodlawn to sites with community actors portraying people of our past.
Admission is taken at the main gate when you arrive and includes a map with site information and more history. You may start your walk anytime and go in any order, but leave at least 90 minutes to view all the acting sites. Acting begins at 12:00pm and ends at 4:30 p.m. each day.
