About Minnesota Beethoven Festival

Winona welcomes world renowned artists
The Minnesota Beethoven Festival is an annual, three-week classical music festival in Winona, presenting nationally and internationally recognized artists in performance each summer.

Since 2007, the Minnesota Beethoven Festival has celebrated the music and legacy of Ludwig van Beethoven, in an unequaled environment of performance, discovery, and community, nestled in the quaint bluffs of southeast Minnesota.

Masters like Yo-Yo Ma, the Vienna Boys Choir and the Minnesota Orchestra have all paid homage to Beethoven in this premiere festival, which transforms Winona into a classical music Mecca each summer.

The season opens on June 29, 2025 with a Festival favorite, the acclaimed violinist Joshua Bell. The season concludes on July 20, 2025 with the dynamic Anderson & Roe piano duo. Artists new to the festival include celebrated clarinetist Anthony McGill and Grammy Award-winning pianist Daniil Trifonov.

The Minnesota Orchestra, the beloved Lake Park Pops concert, and bassist Edgar Meyer are all returning this season – Meyer will be joined by violinist Tessa Lark and cellist Joshua Roman as part of their first U.S. tour as a trio.

“It is a joy to continue bringing incredible artists to Winona,” says Artistic & Managing Director Ned Kirk. “We delight in bringing back Festival friends and introducing our audiences to new artists such as the Catalyst Quartet and pianist George Li.”
