75th annual Steamboat Days Parade covered by WXOW

WXOW covered the annual Steamboat Days Grande parade that was part of the five day festival that celebrated its 75th year.  The mile long  parade took place on the final day of the festival and was attended by thousands of people and featured military and high school bands, royalty, and local businesses and organizations handing out candy to children. Royalty included Miss America, Miss Winona and Miss Minnesota. A special honor for Winona was the Miss Minnesota crowning of Winonan Rachel Evangelisto. “I think I’ve been the first Miss Winona in the past, I believe, 24 to 28 years to bring this Minnesota title back to the community,” Evangelisto said. Miklea Mohr was crowned the 75th Miss Winona and said “she feels blessed to have been chosen to represent her hometown.”
