Associated Crafts & Willet Hauser Architectural Glass Company celebrates its 125th anniversary

The Associated Crafts & Willet Hauser Architectural Glass Company is in its 125th year of “storytelling in a visual form.” The Rochester Post Bulletin featured the company and its work creating and restoring stained glass windows. Garrick Holey, VP of production, stated that both historically and currently stained glass is meant to “beautify a structure,” and that it’s meant to last over 100 years. Melissa Jander, Willet’s art department manager and 30 year employee, enjoys the process of of “restoring life to old windows,” and feels fortunate to work in an industry where she can use her creative talents and to know that the windows are made to “last for generations.”

Winona has been referred to as the stained glass capital of the United States for the amount of studios that were once operating in Winona and not for the amount of “stained – glass windows per capita.” Currently Associated Crafts & Willet Hauser Architectural Glass Company is one of three companies operating in Winona.
