Mid West Music Fest 2023 “impressive” line-up boasts 71 bands

A band plays on a stage with a bright light show as a crowd in front of them enjoys the show.

The 2023 Mid West Music Fest’s performance line-up is “impressive” according to a feature in the Rochester Post Bulletin. The Festival takes place Friday and Saturday, May 12-13, at multiple venues in downtown Winona and includes 71 bands. Punk band Ultrabomb takes the stage at No Name Bar on Friday and is made up with “stars” Greg Norton, former bassist for Husker Du, and Finny McConnell, member of the The Mahones, another popular folk-punk band. MWMF’s booking director, Nate Nelson, said that the 2023 line-up is more diverse than in the past “with broader representation of BIPOC artists than in years past.” Along with the live music scene, there are also kids activities and a free makers market.
