The Winona Outdoor Collaborative is offering community rock climbing events at Sugarloaf Bluff, designed to cater to all skill levels, especially beginners and WXOW News 19 was there to show us what it’s all about. These events provide a supportive environment with all necessary gear and guidance from SPI-certified climbing instructors. Participants can also join guided hikes to the top of the bluff, making the event accessible even to those new to hiking.
Scheduled for specific dates like July 6, 2024, these rock climbing days include harnesses, helmets, and the presence of knowledgeable guides to ensure safety and enjoyment. The initiative is part of the Collaborative’s broader mission to foster community engagement and outdoor activities, funded by the Carl & Verna Schmidt Foundation.
