Love of Local History Week

Each February the Winona County Historical Society hosts a Museum Open House as a thank you to the community for loving their local history. The free event has crafts, games, tours, entertainment, demonstrations, treats and more. This year WCHS is adapting the Open House to provide some of those same activities in a COVID-19 friendly way. The Winona County History Center is currently open Thursday – Saturday 10 a.m. – 4 p.m. and will expand their hours starting Monday, Feb. 8 to Monday – Saturday 10 a.m. – 4p.m.

Free Vintage Valentine’s Day Kits can be picked up at the Winona County History Center Feb. 4 – Feb. 13 while supplies last.

Joining from a distance or you don’t have time to grab a kit before the class? Grab a pen, some colored paper and any valentine’s themed craft supplies you have on hand and get ready to learn some card making tips and tricks while you craft a unique valentine for someone special in your life.
