Minnesota Beethoven Festival Featured in Top Pick Lists

The Minnesota Beethoven Festival is about to kick off its 2019 season, and publications across the state are taking notice. This week, the Minneapolis Star Tribune and Minnpost both featured the festival in their arts reporting.

The Star Tribune included the June 30th Joshua Bell concert at Winona State University’s Harriet Johnson Auditorium in its list of the week’s best classical music concerts. Reporter Terry Blain writes, “With a career spanning three decades and more than 40 CDs to his credit, American violinist Joshua Bell has long ranked as one of the most charismatic players on the international circuit. His recital with pianist Peter Dugan is the first event at this year’s Minnesota Beethoven Festival in Winona.”

Pamela Espeland heaps praise on the festival, writing, “In Winona, the Minnesota Beethoven Festival, now in its 13th year, boasts a jaw-dropping lineup that will start with violinist Joshua Bell on June 30 and end with the Minnesota Orchestra on July 21, with Roderick Cox as conductor.”
