Touch-A-Truck and Play Streets Return to Downtown Winona

Touch-A-Truck is a free, family-friendly event in downtown Winona on Saturday, May 11 from 9:00 am  –  noon, that gives kids of ALL ages the opportunity to explore the big vehicles they see every day and to give them an understanding of how they work, understand vehicle safety, pose for photos and ask the vehicle operator questions. What types of vehicles can you expect to see? Construction, emergency, transportation, military, utility, delivery and any other fun equipment. A horn free “quiet time” will be from 9:00 – 11:00 am for those sensitive to loud noises.

In tandem with Touch-A-Truck, Live Well Winona and Winona Health will host Play Streets, an event highlighting activities that promote a healthy lifestyle and community. Streets surrounding Third Street from Center to Lafayette will be closed to motorized traffic to allow kids and adults an opportunity to participate in wellness-based activities. Bike parking will be available, and attendees are encouraged to walk and bike to the event. For more, visit winonamainstreet.com, the Facebook event page or call 507-452-2272.
