Winona’s homegrown company Wenonah Canoe has been sharing the love of the outdoors, and the name of our city, with customers across the globe for more than 50 years.
With the age of COVID-19 came a resurgence of interest in water sports, and companies like Wenonah Canoe have seen their products soaring off their online shelves.
La Crosse news station WXOW ran a feature, “Local canoe company seeing positive effects of COVID-19”, on August 25, 2020.
“Once the employees were able to safely return in May, [Vice President Bill] Kueper said there was no looking back. ‘We started shipping, and we started shipping and shipping and shipping and the orders kept coming.'”
