STEM in the Real World to bring 350+ high school students to WSU campus

Winona State University’s STEM in the Real World event from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Friday, March 7, in the WSU Science Laboratory Center.
This hands-on event will welcome more than 350 high school students (grades 9-12) to explore STEM careers through interactive workshops. Students will engage with scientists, engineers, and analysts to see how they tackle real-world challenges.
As part of the experience, WSU is partnering with the Outdoor Recreation Center and Director Mike Henderson to offer Climbing Wall Sessions in Education Village, allowing students to immerse themselves in WSU’s active-learning environment.
Event Schedule:
  • 9:00 – 11:30 a.m.: Five STEM sessions, including Climbing Wall in Education Village
  • 11:30 a.m. – 12:25 p.m.: Lunch in Kryzsko Cafeteria
  • 12:30 – 2:00 p.m.: Choose from three STEM sessions or take a campus tour (Climbing Wall available)
