Mid West Music Fest
This annual event draws thousands to see more than 70 bands from across the Upper Midwest. From indie rock to coffeehouse vibes and beyond, the music is as diverse as the crowd that descends on Winona each May to take it all in. For two days, the entire city is rocking to live music rolling out of nearly every live music venue in town.
100 Mile Garage Sale
Homes and businesses along both sides of the Great River Road between Red Wing and Winona fling open garages and storage rooms and sell all manner of wares to the thousands of thrifters who turn out every year. With some 30 different cities and thousands of individual sales, this two-day event is the most epic garage sale you’ll ever attend.
Bluff Country Studio Art Tour
Being nestled in the rolling hills of the Driftless Area has its perks, including the stunning scenery that has been inspiring artists for millennia. For three days each April, more than 50 artists who live and create in this region invite visitors into their workspaces and showrooms to browse their breathtaking works and ask questions about their processes and inspirations. This self-guided art tour is free, and a wonderful way to enjoy the incredible beauty of Southeastern Minnesota.
