Winona will once again get an opportunity to see the CP Holiday Train when it stops at the Winona Amtrak Station on December 11, 2022 from 3:30 pm – 4:15 p.m. It will be the train’s first stop in 3 years since the pandemic. There were virtual concerts in 2020 and 2021. The mission behind the Holiday Train is to raise funds for food shelves around North America by providing live music and an awareness of food insecurity. Since the Holiday Train launched in 1999, more than $21 million has been raised and 5 million pounds of food collected. Winona will be one of 168 stops where live music will be performed by Alan Doyle and Kelly Prescott. Prescott performs country music and Doyle is a singer, songwriter who performs traditional Celtic music.
