Great River Road itinerary includes visit to the MMAM

With Spring around the corner, The Great River Road website planned an itinerary along the northern portion of the Great River Road.  This time a year is a good time to travel the scenic route to explore “charming cities and towns along the northern Great River Road,” and visit historical attractions and museums. The itinerary included a visit to the Minnesota Marine Art Museum which is located on the banks of the Mississippi River in Winona and features great art inspired by water and displays both historic and contemporary works of art. A ride up the Garvin Heights Road leads to the Garvin Heights Park and Overlook with panoramic views of the Mississippi River Valley.
