The Great River Road Wine Trail is worth taking a road trip and stopping to explore both the wineries and their scenic location along the Mississippi River. The River Trail Media features “travel stories along America’s rivers and the road trips that will take you there,” and highlighted nine wine trails to visit along the scenic byway. In the Upper Mississippi River Valley, there are eight wineries and over 100 wines to taste. Spend an afternoon, or longer to visit the many communities and their attractions along the river.
