Hal Leonard is proud of its 76 years of business in Winona


After 76 years in business, the Hal Leonard Corporation continues to be proud of its heritage and its innovative spirit. The sheet music company was founded by brothers Hal and Everette Edstrom and Roger Busdicker in Winona and has “become the world’s largest print music publisher.” The Corporation publishes beginner piano songbooks and vocal arrangements and among their top sellers are compositions from Taylor Swift. The facility in Winona is a state-of-the-art administration, production and distribution center and fulfills over 3,000 orders daily. The company employs 250 people and many of their employees have worked at the company for multiple decades. They also have offices located in several U.S.and international cities.

“I think we all have a sense of pride with both the company and the town that the name Hal Leonard is everywhere in the world but starts here,” Stockhausen said in a Winona Daily News article.
