Readers of the Only in Your State travel website were asked what their favorite Lake was in Minnesota and they chose Lake Winona as one of their top 11 beautiful lakes out of the 14,380 lakes in Minnesota. Lake Winona is in the core of the city and is surrounded by a 5.3 mile paved biking and walking path and the Lake Lodge Recreation Center rents watercraft to the public for their recreational enjoyment. The Lake provides opportunities for fishing as well. It’s beautiful all year round but the Fall color scenery of the bluffs is stunning and an added bonus to the scenic beauty of the season.
