Yeah, we know what you’re thinking. We are a long way from Florida, but the “Miami of Minnesota” is a joke among locals that goes back farther than anyone can remember. Why? It IS the warmest spot in Minnesota year after year according to Weather Almanac. Really. Also, if you look at a map of Florida and Minnesota, Winona is located in the same spot as Miami in Florida.

 

Beaches? Yup – we’ve got plenty seeing as we are on the Mississippi River with countless white sand islands to play on. See where we’re going with this? Haha.
