Chapter 2 Books opened in October 2012, founded by native Winonan Daryl Lanz. We are located in Winona’s historic downtown. Chapter 2 Books is a traditional bookstore carrying used books in all categories and genres. We have fiction, nonfiction, hardcovers, paperbacks, children’s books, comics, graphic novels, magazines, and more!

We buy, sell, and trade
Our used books come mainly from the community and surrounding area. For more information on selling your books or trading for store credit, click on the Selling link above. At the store, most paperbacks are priced at one-half the original publisher’s price (or less!), and hardcovers sell for even less (generally around 30% of the original price). We also feature a large and ever-changing selection of clearance titles for less than $1.00!
Vinyl Records and CDs
More than just books, we also sell used LPs and CDs. (Daryl spent over 10 years working in the music business, managing various record stores, and he brings that experience to Chapter 2.) Have a vinyl collection you want to part with, or CDs you don’t listen to anymore? Let us help them find a new home!
A Great Selection of Comics
We love comic books (Daryl has been a reader and collector for over 50 years!), and we happily share that love in a welcoming space with a well-organized selection of comics, collectibles, and pop culture items. Our comics collection spans from the ‘60s to the present day, and ranges from the highly collectible to boxes full of 25-cent, 50-cent, and $1.00 comics! And we’re always interested in adding to our collection!
