Stories of Minnesota City Baseball

Spring brings baseball, and all are invited are invited to talk baseball on Sunday, March 30, at 2 p.m. at St. Paul’s Hall, 132 Anderson Street, in Minnesota City. Those attending will hear of the beginnings in 1896 with the first organized club in Minnesota City, “The Invincibles,” memories of those who played on the Cardinals adult team in the mid-1900s, and the start of the present-day youth baseball program. Everyone is encouraged to share their stories of Minnesota City baseball, past and present. The discussion will be recorded for later viewing on the website minnesotacity.org. Photos and memorabilia are welcomed and will be photographed for inclusion in the Minnesota City Historical Association’s digital collection. Refreshments will be served.
