An exhibit of kites and kite flying by professional kite flyer Robert Scott Aldrich. Aldrich’s collection of kites consists of various delta and diamond forms and animal kites including four cat kites and two fish kites from Singapore. An F-Stop spinner, kite banners and socks can be seen hung from his kites. The public is invited to a reception for the exhibit on Friday, January 11 from 5-6:30pm. Live Music: Noah Short & Band

Noah Short is a bandleader, singer/songwriter and multi-instrumentalist from Winona, Minnesota. The album is an eclectic mix of ten abstractly biographical all original tracks. The evening’s music includes his band composed of an all-star line-up of seasoned regional musicians. Linnea Mohn (Rogue Valley), Scott Lochner (People Brothers Band), Jake Allen (Driftwood Bones). Tickets are $5 in advance, $8 at the door. Tickets available at EventBrite and Hardts Music and Audio at 115 East 3rd Street in Winona.

The Winona Arts Center will hold its monthly community Song Circle. All are welcome to this group participation, community singing experience. Songs will be chosen by group suggestions from the “Rise Up Song Book”. Copies of the “Rise Up Song Book” which contains words, chords, and sources to 1200 songs is available for use or bring your own book if you have one. Bring your own beverages.
