Lessons from Longwood Gardens: Shaping the Future of the Landscape Arboretum at WSU

To kick off Arbor Day celebrations on April 23 at 7 p.m. in Science Lab Center 120, WSU Arboretum Director Nate Anderson will present his talk entitled “Lessons from Longwood Gardens: Shaping the Future of the Landscape Arboretum at WSU.” Drawing from his recent sabbatical as a fellow at Longwood Gardens in Kennett Square, Pa., Anderson will discuss key insights gained about public gardens and their implications for the future of WSU’s campus landscape. A community bare root seedling giveaway sponsored by the Johnny Appleseed Project and the Landscape Arboretum at Winona State University will take place before the talk on April 23 at 6:30 p.m. in Science Lab Center 120, on April 26 at the Minnesota Marine Art Museum from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. as part of Big River Clean + Planting event, and on May 3 at the Bluff Country Coop and Midtown Foods (while supplies last).
