Where can I go ice skating?

City of Winona Park and Recreation department has done a fantastic job of making ice rinks accessible all around town. With many different free rinks, you are sure to find one that works for you!

The Lake Lodge Recreation Center on East Lake Winona is your place for all outdoor winter activities. Lake Lodge offers equipment rentals, including broomball sticks and balls, hockey sticks and pucks, ice skates, and even snowshoes. For frequent visitors, a Lake Lodge winter membership provides access to all these rentals at no extra cost. There is no fee required to skate on the lake with your own equipment. Three rinks are available during the season: A broomball rink, a hockey rink, and one for pleasure skating.

Bud King Ice Arena is an option if you’re looking for an indoor location or open hockey. There are different times and options depending on what type of skating you’re looking for. Admission is $3.00 per person, and skate rental is available. Outdoor skating next to the Mississippi is also available on their outdoor rink. Check out the Winona Hockey Association’s website at http://www.winonahockey.com for schedules and details.
