Lake Park and Lake Lodge Recreation Center

Winona’s city park surrounding Lake Winona includes a rose garden with gazebo, picnic sites, bandshell, dock and boat fishing, playgrounds–including a new ADA accessible play area called “Every Child’s Dream”, skating rink in winter, frisbee golf course, soccer and softball fields and five miles of walking/biking trails. Within Lake Park, by the bandshell, is Veterans Memorial Park.

Lake Park biking and walking path is a popular destination for both visitors and local residents. The five-mile blacktop trail runs along the south side of the city and circles both segments of the lake through Lake Park. The route is flat and easy. This is a good place for families to ride or walk with children. Pedestrians, in-line skaters and cyclists use the path, so be alert. The trail provides excellent views of Lake Park, the surrounding bluffs and some of the city’s neighborhoods. Lake Winona trail is a great place to begin exploring the city and the area.

Please note: Dogs are welcome in West Lake Park, but dogs may not be brought into East Lake Park.

Canoe, kayak, liberty boat, sit-on-top kayak, stand-up paddle board, bike, snow shoe and ice skate rentals are available at Lake Lodge Recreation Center. You can also enjoy a good game of croquette, bocce or table tennis. View the 2024 Lake Lodge Recreation Center brochure here.
