Built in 2020, the Prairie Island Disc Golf Course is a 5000 ft, 18 hole course with a par of 55. The course will continue to evolve as it settles into newly opened areas within the park and we are working to fund the addition of concrete tee pads and course signage in 2021. Stop into our campground store near hole 1 where you will find discs, gear, refreshments and information. Please park in the gravel lot located near the hole 18 basket. When ever possible stay on paths and and open spaces while traversing to your discs. The back 9 is located in a prairie and animal habit zone so please be respectful. Holes 1-9 and 17-18 are closed to play during the 3 major summer holidays and during Boats and Bluegrass Music Festival the last weekend of Sept. The course is open the rest of year, including winter.
The front 9 resides within the campground proper and scores a little easier for experienced disc players while the back lengthens out and offers more challenges. We are very excited to be able to offer disc golf at Prairie Island Campground and look forward to introducing the sport to new folks as well as offer a fun, challenging experience for the disc golf community.
