Minnesota Author Tour: Kao Kalia Yang

Minnesota Marine Art Museum

The Winona Public Library and Minnesota Marine Art Museum (MMAM) will host author Kao Kalia Yang on Tuesday, May 7th at 5 PM in the Across a Wide Ocean Gallery as part of SELCO (Southeastern Libraries Cooperating) Minnesota Author Tour.  This event is free but registration is required.  To register, go to https://tinyurl.com/mmamkalia.

Yang’s work crosses audiences and genres to center the Hmong experience in America. Her books have won multiple awards and include The Late HomecomerThe Song PoetThe Most Beautiful Thing, and more.

The Most Beautiful Thing, illustrated by Khoa Le, is one of two books featured in the current book arts exhibition, Across a Wide Ocean: Remarkable Stories about the Origins of Identity, at MMAM.

A book signing will follow in the museum’s atrium. The author’s books for sale in the MMAM Shoppe.
