Chapter 2 Books

Opened in October 2012 and founded by native Winonan Daryl Lanz, Chapter 2 Books is a traditional bookstore located in Winona’s historic downtown carrying used books in all categories and genres including fiction, nonfiction, hardcovers, paperbacks, children’s books, comics, graphic novels, magazines, and more!

Paperbacks and Pieces

Winona’s oldest and largest bookstore since 1977 with over 35,000 titles, Paperbacks and Pieces will be throwing an event from 10am to 4pm with deals, door prizes, and free bookstore swag also offering a diverse range of activities and opportunities for attendees. Firstly, visitors can acquire Karen Dahl’s mother’s memoir, which delves into Sandra Cowden’s life-changing experience following a brain tumor diagnosis in 1981. Jacqueline West, a Minnesota author renowned for her thrilling novels for children and young adults, will be present to engage kids with her captivating storytelling. Additionally, Jason Lee Willis, an author passionate about Minnesota history, returns to provide insights into the region’s rich historical lore through his adventurous novels. Furthermore, the Coffee Camper will be stationed outside, offering delectable drinks and treats from 10 am to 2 pm, ensuring attendees can enjoy refreshments while partaking in the event’s activities. This lineup promises a blend of literary exploration, historical insight, and culinary delights, catering to varied interests within the community.
