Greg Brown, an esteemed Iowa folk artist known for his timeless music, is releasing a book titled “Ring Around the Moon: A Songbook” in collaboration with Ramshackle Press. The 136-page book features writings, drawings, and photographs alongside the lyrics and sheet music of many of Greg’s classic songs. It includes a foreword by musician Seth Avett, who released an album of Brown’s songs in 2022. Although Brown has retired from music and touring, he will be holding four book release events in the Upper Midwest, where he’ll read from the book, share stories, answer questions, and perform a few songs. The events are scheduled for April 26th in Viroqua, WI; April 27th in Winona, MN; May 2nd in Minneapolis, MN; and May 3rd in Iowa City, IA. The official release date of the book is April 30th, and pre-orders, including limited editions and signed/numbered copies, are available through the Ramshackle Press website.
