Sanborn Canoe Company, based here in Winona, Minnesota, has released a new artisan-painted canoe paddle celebrating the new Minnesota flag design.
“As a shop, we’ve followed the entire crowd-sourced design process,” said Sanborn Canoe Sales Manager Adam Carlson. “We all felt as though we had a stake in the final product because most of us are from Minnesota. Once the new design was selected, we were all excited to get into the shop and embrace it.”
Each paddle is handcrafted in Winona using hardwoods grown and milled in southeastern Minnesota. Finally, each paddle is hand-painted and finished, making it both useful for a casual day of paddling on the water, as well as making a great art piece for display indoors.
“We’re extremely proud to be a Made-in-Minnesota company, and anything we can do to showcase that state pride is a win for us,” Carlson said.
