Mid West Music Fest, one of Winona’s original festivals, was featured on KARE 11 TV of Minneapolis. It was celebrating the return of live music after more than a year of the Coronovirus pandemic. The sold-out 2021 MWMF returned as an in- person event unlike last year’s virtual event. It was held outdoors at the Prairie Island Campground where patrons could socially distance and be seated in pods.
Nur D, a music artist at the Festival, was a guest on the show and gave a preview of the set he will perform. He talked about his excitement that “live music is back” and about the differences between performing virtually in front of a camera versus being on stage.
