Minnesota Marine Art Museum to provide free tour boat rides on the Mississippi River

As part of their Second Saturdays program, the Minnesota Marine Art Museum (MMAM) is providing free tour boat rides on the Mississippi River. “Second Saturdays offer $1 admission and a variety of activities for all ages based around a specific theme. August’s theme is the ‘Mighty Mississippi,'” the article states.

This Saturday (August 18) the Winona Tour Boat will be giving free 45-minute river cruises at 11 a.m., noon, and 1 p.m. “Space is limited on the boat, so please register at the front desk to reserve a space. You must be present at the front desk with a paid admissions sticker to register the day of the event,” advises the article. It adds, “You can’t talk about the Mississippi River without getting on the water.” Additional programming includes “30-minute museum tours with three different focuses. The MMAM highlights tour will focus on some of the most popular works in the museum. A “Trip Down The Mississippi Tour” will explore how artists have depicted the Mississippi River over the years.”  You can read the full article here.
