The Rural Heritage Museum will have its grand opening on Wednesday, July 12 at 12:00 p.m. The Winona County Historical Society will have a ribbon cutting, live music, door prizes, and cake and lemonade!

The new museum is located on the Winona County Fairgrounds in St. Charles, Minnesota. Along with the museum exhibit building, visitors can explore the historic Gainey Schoolhouse, the Hill sisters’ log cabin, and an early log barn. Some of these were once part of the Arches Museum of Pioneer Life, started by Walter Rahn, and acquired by WCHS in 1964.
