Blue Fruit Farm, a local production company specializing in organically grown berries (blueberries, elderberries, honeyberries, juneberries, aronia berries and black currants,) was featured in Iowa’s Inspired magazine. The farm is located in Wiscoy township and overlooks the Wiscoy Valley. Growers Jim Riddle and Joyce Ford shared their experiences of soil preparation, pest control, and a 50 mile radius delivery market of their property. “All the fruits we grow are high in antioxidants and high in vitamins and minerals.” The farm sells the berries fresh or frozen and also offers jams and other products. Blue Fruit Farm is participating in the free self-guided Lakewinds Farm Tour on July 10.
