Tour de Water: New “Urban” Bike for All Ages

Bike month will be featuring a second run of the “Tour de Water,” an urban bike ride that highlights Lake Winona or a larger tour of the community that encompasses Lake Winona, Goodview Lake, the Mississippi River, and numerous parks along the way. The event will take place on May 18.

Cyclists of all abilities can circle the Lake Winona path and stay within Lake Park’s flat, well-controlled confines. More experienced cyclists are invited to take the full tour, cycling among automobiles on city roads to the west end of the community, returning along Prairie Island and Riverview roads and the Interstate Bridge before finishing at Lake Park. Signs will mark the way and maps are available for download.

A $25 registration fee includes a “Tour” water bottle and snacks, with proceeds going to the Southeast Minnesota and Western Wisconsin Regional Science and Engineering Fair. Visit the website for more information and register at Eventbrite.
