Taste of Downtown Winona

On Saturday, May 18, from 1-3 p.m., the Kiwanis Club of Winona Sunrisers will be hosting the “Taste of Downtown Winona”
The event gives the opportunity for those that purchase a ticket to eat samples of food provided by each restaurant at their location. This will be a walking event going from restaurant to restaurant during the 2-hour time. Tickets are $15/person and a wrist band will be needed to wear to show at each restaurant. Tickets can be purchased at participating restaurants or at the “Start Location” — a tent that will be located at 3rd and Center Streets. You must register at the tent to get the wrist band.
This event includes these downtown Winona restaurants: Acoustic Café, Beno’s Deli, Blooming Grounds, Bluff Country Co-op, Boat House Restaurant, Bub’s Brewing Co, Erbert and Gerbert’s, Great Hunan, Heirloom Seasonal Bistro, Miya Japanese Bistro, Muddled Thyme, Sammy’s Pizza, Sapori di Sicilia, Sliced, 2 Brothers Sports Bar & Grill, and Topper’s Pizza.
Proceeds from this event will go to the Kiwanis Club and will be used to support community projects:
• Food for Kids program.
• Backpacks full of school supplies for the Ready Set School program.
• Reading program for all kindergarten and pre-K school kids in Winona County. They each get their own book to take home.
• Special Athletic Competition event at Paul Giel Field. The Winona club started this event 48 years ago to benefit children with disabilities.
• Support the Circle K program at Winona State University.
• Christmas trees are picked up in our community.
